Accounting Manager

Aegis is seeking a qualified Accounting Manager to join our client's organization in Chicago. This is a hybrid position (3 days a week OS and 2 remote. The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience of public accounting – ie. Consulting or public firm experience
• Financial reporting experience using SAP or similar ERP platform
• Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. – will be leading month/quarter/yearly end close. Monthly – 5 days, quarterly – 7-8 business days, yearly – takes multiple weeks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
• Experience managing at least 1 direct report.
• Experience leading the annual external audit process
• 150M+ in rev company size experience
• Required – travel; once per quarter. (Regional Travel)

Preferred qualifications:

• CPA
• Additional education – masters degree.
• Background where the candidate has been broad and hands-on rather than highly specialized within a very large corporation
