The Cellar Master role is vital to the success of the wine programs for Mel’s, Al Coro and Discolo. The ideal candidate is a person who wants to learn about wine and help manage the inventory of one of the greatest wine cellars in NYC. If you are looking to “break” into the world of sommeliers in fine dining… this is the perfect position! The cellar master will work directly with the Wine Director to ensure that all the cellars are in stock & in working order, that inventory accurate and that all upcoming orders have been placed & deliveries received. This position requires someone who is organized, has a passion for wine and seeks to grow within a dynamic and continually growing company.
This position is designed for individuals that are eager to learn and grow professionally and is an integral part of our restaurant’s success. It is best suited to people that are ‘self starters’ and can manage their time and tasks wisely. Attention to detail is also key for success in this role.

This is a full time position and requires flexible schedule availability.
• Must have basic knowledge of viticulture & vinification. Experience with Italian wine is a plus.
• Must be able to lift & carry at least 50 pounds.

• Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending & standing).
