Job description
Provide support in all aspects related to the program-level Medicaid Managed Care billing process to include:
Data collection and documentation
Submission and recoupment of funds
Problem-solving and communicating with MCOs, clearinghouse personnel, billing staff and Quality Improvement and Planning Department
Following with MCOs when programmatic/guest-related data or information is needed
Provide in-house staff development and training.
Assist with the day-to-day operation of the program, including promoting the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of guests.
Provide guidance to staff in creating and maintaining a healing, recovery-oriented, wellness and trauma-informed environment for guests.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff coverage per contractual requirements and service delivery needs., shifts are staffed when unexpected coverage is needed
Provide needed coverage for oneself when no other staff is available, including during all holidays.
Responsible for supervising, facilitating, and scheduling groups.
Plan and coordinate meal provision
Responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of all facility issues including cleaning, repairs, coordination with outside vendors, and supervision of maintenance staff.
Responsible for the maintenance of inventories of supplies and equipment, etc.
Assist the Program Director to review direct service staff documentation to ensure thorough, timely, and relevant documentation, consistent with program policies and procedures and MCO requirements.
Assist Director in facilitating team and other meetings and documenting outcomes.
With rotation with the director, provide 24-hour on-call emergency coverage and crisis intervention.
Qualifications
NYS Certified Peer Specialist
BA level degree preferred
A minimum of one (1) year experience providing supervision to staff working in a social service or related setting,
A minimum of three (3) years experience working with people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities and people struggling with substance use. utilizing the recovery model.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to utilize critical thinking, problem-solving and de-escalation skills to assist with creating and maintaining an environment that promotes recovery.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
Be creative and flexible.
Show initiative and be responsible for follow-through.
Ability to maintain confidential information, as related to the position.
Ability to walk up several flights of stairs.
Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the NYS Justice Center.
Bilingual, preferred.
Location
