At Hotel Barriere Fouquet, our restaurant is searching for a creative and motivated Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team. In this position, you will follow the Head Chef’s instructions when carrying out culinary activities in compliance with Group standards.
Our ideal candidates are professional, and willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Maintain standards of health, safety, and personal hygiene.
Control and take responsibility of their section.
Ensure that all food for service are ready on time.
Able to properly cook all items,: meat, fish, stock, jus, vegetable, etc.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Must be able to communicate properly with other kitchen sections and superiors.
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
Able to drive other members such as Commis, and Junior Chef de Partie to maintain quality and cooking standards.
The ideal candidate would have:
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools, and processes.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure. Great time management.
Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift at least 50lbs.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Certification of Food Handlers License preferred
Be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
