Located in Manhattan's East Village, Huertas serves Basque-influenced fare, evoking the lively eating and drinking culture of Northern Spain. A NY Times two-star reviewed restaurant, our menu combines the playful elements of a Pintxo Bar, and the elevated aspects of cuisine in the Basque country. We offer a rotating assortment of pintxos or small bites, and larger seasonally evolving raciones and platos, accompanied by unabashedly & classic Spanish beverages, such as refrescos, house made vermouth and a long list of Spanish wine, sherry & cider.
Since opening, we've garnered our share of terrific reviews (http://huertasnyc.com/press/), but continue to improve and evolve and are looking for a server who want to grow with us.
We are looking for one part-time line cook to join our small team. We have 2 or 3 shifts to fill (depending on the candidates availability). The days of the week can be flexible (again, based on availabilty) and the shift is from approximately 3pm to 11pm.
Huertas is one of the handful on NYC restaurants cooking greenmarket-driven Spanish cuisine. A New York Times 2-star restaurant, we use a combination of traditional and modern techniques in our kitchen, while providing a warm and comfortable environment for our team and guests.
We are a small team (3 cooks, 2 sous chef) and value candidates who are responsible and eager to learn over those who are simply looking for a job. If you have the right attitude, you can thrive here.
This is a terrific opportunity to grow in our industry, to challenge yourself, and work closely with a Chef-owner. If your dream is to open up your own restaurant, there is no better place to learn.
