Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of professional cooking experience in NYC restaurants. An interest in seasonally driven menu items is a must as well an overall passion for cooking. We are looking for individuals that:
- are able to read and follow recipes, as well as follow directions and lists outlined by a chef
- understand and follow the proper DOH food safety policies
- are punctual
- can communicate in English
- maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
- can work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure
- have the ability to stand while working for long periods of time
- can lift up to 50 lbs.
Important Note: Effective August 16th, 2021 we require all employees to be vaccinated to work at Loring Place.
