Pay Range: $88,800.00-$142,200.00

Job Description:
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Business Analyst, Time Operations and Compliance
We are seeking a Business Analyst, Time Operations and Compliance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely capture and reporting of hours worked and paid absences in the MSK Time system and Workday Absence for 22,000+ employees. You will also work on solutions and processes to provide system improvements, clarity of required business processes, and ease of use for our employees and their managers.
You will provide emergency support, 365/24/7, for the MSK Time system, its badge readers, and Workday. You will think and act independently to efficiently resolve issues related to the capture, authorization, and reporting of time worked and absences in a manner that consistently complies with federal and New York State labor laws.
Role Overview:
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on MSK Time and Workday Absence, and reviewing updates and fixes for applicability and impact.
- Respond to individual requests for assistance, and ensure time is loaded successfully into Workday payroll each pay period.
- Review Symplr and Workday release notes, fixes, and updates to determine applicability and impact.
- Work with internal business partners and external vendors to test and implement system and report modifications.
- Review and analyze departmental requests for new functionality or improvements, recommend solutions, and determine necessary system configurations or business processes.
- Efficiently manage reporting, system monitoring, data integrity, and security access modifications, responding to requests and ensuring payroll data is successfully loaded into Workday each pay period.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to test and implement system modifications.
- Create and maintain documentation, including training guides and procedures, ensure employee enrollment in relevant courses, and communicate development changes to project and payroll teams.
- Analyze, calculate, and issue employee repayment requests for payroll overpayments. Follow standard department procedures to recover the money that complies with labor law and MSK policy.
- Process retroactive corrections in MSK Time due to time and absence errors. Recommend solutions to reduce the volume of retroactive corrections.
- Collaborate with Benefits, Compensation, and Human Resources to implement solutions to reduce the number of retroactive corrections and dollar amount lost to overpayments.
Key Qualifications:
- 4 years of related work experience
- 2 years experience with Payroll, Time and Attendance Systems
- Time & Attendance Systems Experience (Symplr Time & Attendance, a plus)
- Payroll or HRIS Systems Experience (Workday, a plus)
- Experience with a case management platform (ServiceNow, a plus)
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
Core Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and compliance
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, both in writing and in person
- Strong attention to detail

- Schedule: Hybrid, requires flexibility to be onsite multiple days per week or as needed
