Job Description: Director, Real Estate Management and Optimization
Exciting opportunity for a healthcare leader to join MSK as Director, Real Estate Management & Optimization reporting to our VP, Facilities Operations. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare at MSK!
Role Overview:
- Provide leadership for all administrative and operational activities of MSK's Housing & Parking Program. This includes a $420+ million portfolio (currently 24 residential properties, 1,318 apartments for MSK staff members and their families).
- Participate in the decision-making process for new property acquisition and oversee the implementation of those acquisitions.
- Manage, direct, and lead approximately 102 staff members that support MSK's Housing & Parking Program; staff includes management, supervisory, service, and administrative support.
- Prepare, develop, and actively manage an annual operating budget of approximately $22 million with revenue in excess of $34 million; capital projects are in excess of $4 million dollars.
- Strategist for the real estate management information systems architecture encompassing the management information systems, building systems, security, and safety systems to maximize the capabilities and potentialities of competing and emerging technologies in order to advance the business.
- Ensure compliance to all City, building, environmental, and safety regulations and codes as they pertain to housing and parking operations and practices. Verifies all code compliance, lease agreements terms and condominium by-law issues to assure MSK interests are protected and that MSK adheres to its legal and contractual obligations; will consult with legal counsel, engineering and architectural services as required and needed.
- Recommend and develop changes to existing Housing strategy and use of resources; implement the directives of the V.P. Facilities Administration and Residential Services that serve to maximize existing housing resources commensurate with MSK's programmatic requirements and priorities.
- Ensure all housing and parking operations are responsive and sensitive to community issues and concerns; promote and achieve a positive community presence.
Key Qualifications:
- 10+ years of management experience in the operational and technical functions of a complex non-profit real estate management/development program.
- Proven track record of implementation of information applications and IT infrastructure all in support of the Housing Program.
- Solid understanding of both the real estate operations and information technology environment in order to successfully implement new technologies.
- Demonstrated budget and planning skills, and a track record of consensus building to solve inter and intra-departmental challenges.
- Technically proficient in using all MS Office Applications, as well as MS Powershell, MS SQL Server, MS SSIS/SSRS, MS Visual Studio, Adobe E-Sign, Cisco Meraki Cloud Systems, Service Now, TCP/IP/UDP knowledge.
- Proficiency in Housing/Parking Software, including Building Link, Butterfly Digital, CVPS Parking Revenue Control System, Keylink, Maintenance IQ, Rent Café, and Yardi Property Management Suite.
