Job Description:
Research Development and Outreach Manager (RDOM)
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Research Development and Outreach Manager (RDOM) in the Monitoring & Outreach Unit in Research & Project Administration. We're looking for a self-directed professional to support our faculty and make an impact in our funding development and Responsible Conduct of Research programs.
This position is a hybrid position to allow some travel to campus.
Role Overview:
- Provide customer-focused support to faculty to identify relevant funding opportunities
- Develop and maintain a robust range of resources which inform application development and promote funding success
- Develop and implement department/program and PI-specific funding development strategies to stimulate MSK's research funding pipeline
- Manage and administer the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) program
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver education and outreach programming to faculty and staff
Education and Key Qualifications:
- 2-4 years experience in a related field, ideally in a research administration environment performing duties similar to the above
Core Skills:
- Ability to develop and complete projects with minimal supervision
- Skilled in working effectively with faculty, staff, and external funding agencies
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with a diverse group of individuals
- Experience reading and interpreting funding opportunity announcements
- Knowledge of pre-award grant submission process
- Experience with the federal application requirements and policy regulations
