Position Overview:
This crucial role involves bringing AI models to the "point of care" or "point of decision" for real-world users, addressing the challenge of implementing AI in practical, clinical settings.
If you possess a deep enthusiasm for AI to support clinical care, clinical research, and operations, this is the perfect role for you. You will be part of a dynamic Health Informatics team in DigITs, MSK's enterprise digital organization, and take on a leadership role that impacts the future of AI in cancer care. As the Senior Director, Health Informatics, Oncology AI Adoption, you'll collaborate with MSK patients, clinicians, operations, and clinical researchers to develop the digital strategy for the Responsible Use of AI in Oncology. You will accelerate and drive the wise deployment, adoption, and impact of Responsible Oncology AI in real-world practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partner:
- Partner with executive sponsors across customer segments to influence best practices and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with MSK stakeholders to plan and advance digital technologies, ensuring investments provide measurable value.
- Advocate for MSK's digital and institutional strategy, helping business leaders implement technology strategies.
- Represent DigITs across business units, developing digital roadmaps and ensuring budgets, schedules, and value targets are met.
- Serve as a thought leader in applying modern digital technologies to healthcare challenges, aligning with MSK's vision.
AI Innovator in Oncology:
- Propel MSK to the forefront of innovative Oncology AI use for clinical care, research, and operations.
- Empower care teams, patients, and researchers while transforming operations with AI technologies.
- Integrate and grow AI capabilities across MSK's digital systems and operations.
- Establish a scalable process for maturing AI models from "bench-to-bedside," focusing on operational readiness, production transfer, workforce training, adoption, and impact evaluation.
- Ensure responsible AI use through collaboration with Quality & Safety, Ethics, Regulatory Compliance, and Clinical Decision Support leads.
- Guide model evaluation through collaborations with MSK's research community and disseminate findings.
- Partner with Technology Development leadership for AI partnerships, advancing MSK's mission.
- Represent MSK in AI-related external collaboratives to learn and share best practices.
- Monitor and respond to AI-specific regulatory and compliance requirements within MSK's AI Program.
- Collaborate with AI/ML Engineering, Data & Analytics, and SEAR teams.
People Leader:
- Guide, mentor, and elevate the skills and proficiency of direct reports.
- Build and promote a collaborative and positive work environment within MSK Informatics and on multidisciplinary digital teams.
