The Host will work closely with the Maitre’d of the restaurant, upholding the restaurant’s quality of service. This person will work with the reservations team, Maître’d, and managers to ensure that guests are serviced properly to have pleasurable dining experiences.
Key Focus
- Ensure all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service.
- Follow seating guidance as directed by Maitre’d and Manager on Duty
- Communicates with the restaurant staff on reservation and guest notes before and during each service.
- Maintains a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment.
Personnel:
- Help guide new hosts on front desk responsibilities and standards.
- Works with the reservation team to ensure reservations are booked efficiently to maintain smooth operations.

Guest Service
- Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service.
- Responds positively and promptly to guest concerns and complaints.
- Maintains guest satisfaction by following seating guidance at the direction of Maître’d or Manager on Duty.
- Maintains a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment.
- Builds relationships with repeat guests.
Service Standards
- Maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines.
- Follow all Department of Health (DOH) standards.
