Reporting to the lead school fundraiser for Tandon, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative coordination and support for the fundraising team for Tandon. This role manages expense tracking and reporting for the team, including the team budget. Update and maintain information within databases, both development related and in regards to alumni networks. Perform a range of clerical and general office duties which will contain confidential materials. Interact with the public and screen visitors to determine how best to direct their inquiries. Draft letters, briefings and reports independently, or under the guidance of the team. Collaborate with other clerical staff regarding department initiatives, and foster a cooperative working environment.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
1+ years preferably in a fundraising and/or at a non-profit or academic institution
Experience providing high-level customer service
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM or similar database preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding
Good proofreading and writing skills
Excellent writer and communicator
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to adapt and respond to various situations and maintain high level of confidentiality
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Experience working in a fast-paced professional environment

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $31.411. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts.
