JOB OVERVIEW:
The Order Taker will answer all phone calls coming from guest rooms as well as occasionally from Front Desk (regarding IRD Orders). They are responsible for providing customers with a fast and accurate checkout experience. They must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including taking orders, using POS to place order with kitchen, processing transactions and printing guest check. They must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work quickly and efficiently.
The Order Taker is responsible for staying up to the date with food & beverage menu descriptions and should be able to answer any guest questions regarding allergies and substitutions. They should be aware of kitchen wait times so that they can correctly quote the expected delivery timeframe with the guest.
The Order Taker is responsible for communicating all special quests with the IRD Server team. They will field all follow up calls from guests and communicate any issues or requested additions with IRD Server team and/or the MOD.
The Order taker should be in constant communication with the BOH & FOH Mangers so that the guest receives their order as promptly and efficiently as possible.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Taking and processing guest In-Room Dining orders, inclusive of food & beverage
Quoting accurate wait times to the guest
Processing Payment for IRD Orders (Room Charges)
Ensuring that the guest’s food has reached them in a timely manner
Answering all guest questions regarding allergies, substitutions, special requests etc.
Complete any assigned side work in an efficient and timely manner.
