Candidate safety

Pause and verify before you apply

A familiar company name or professional-looking listing is not proof that a message, recruiter, or application site is genuine. Use a separate verification path before sharing money or sensitive information.

Verify through an independent route

  • Find the employer's official website independently instead of relying only on a link in a message, advertisement, or search result.
  • Compare the role, location, recruiter details, and application path with the employer's official careers information when available.
  • Inspect the complete destination domain and sender address. A copied logo, display name, company name, or secure-looking page is not enough by itself.
  • Contact the employer through a phone number or address you found independently if the role or communication seems inconsistent.

Workwise application buttons first open the supplied Appcast listing route, which may then lead to an employer, recruiter, or applicant-tracking site. The external job links notice explains where Workwise's control ends.

Treat these requests as warning signs

  • Payment for an application, interview, training, equipment, gift cards, or the promise of a job.
  • An unexpected check followed by instructions to deposit it and send money, cards, or goods onward.
  • Requests for account passwords, banking credentials, or unusually sensitive identity documents before you have verified the employer and a legitimate need.
  • Pressure to act immediately, avoid normal business channels, or continue only through a personal or unfamiliar communication account.
  • A destination, role, compensation claim, or recruiter identity that does not match information you confirmed independently.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission publishes additional guidance on recognizing and reporting job scams.

Protect application information

Workwise has no candidate accounts, résumé uploads, or direct application form. When you leave Workwise, the destination operator's privacy notice, terms, and security practices apply. Read them before entering personal information.

Share sensitive identity or financial information only after you have verified the recipient and confirmed that the information is genuinely required for the stage of the hiring process. Never share an account password. Do not send sensitive material to Workwise when reporting a listing.

If something does not look right

  1. Stop the application or conversation before sending more information or money.
  2. Preserve the Workwise page address, destination address, and non-sensitive details that show the mismatch.
  3. Verify the role with the employer through an independently located channel.
  4. Report the Workwise listing to support@workwise.care.

Workwise can review the page and its supplied link, but it cannot control an external operator, recover money, or resolve an application dispute. The listing quality standards explain how active jobs are accepted and removed.
