Role Purpose

This is a player-coach role at the emerging leader level. As a Business Manager 360, you will lead and grow a Civil Construction desk, driving business development while building lasting relationships with clients and skilled professionals across the infrastructure, heavy civil, transportation, and construction sectors.

Your primary focus will be growing your own portfolio through client acquisition, candidate networking, and successful placements while mentoring and developing a small team of consultants. Leading by example, you will set the standard for business development, recruitment excellence, and market expertise, while building the leadership skills needed to progress toward a Business Director role.

As a Producer, You Will:

• Develop new business opportunities and expand market share across the Civil Construction sector through business development calls, client meetings, networking, referrals, and industry events.

• Build and manage relationships with contractors, engineering firms, developers, infrastructure organizations, and construction professionals.

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, evaluating, and placing professionals into contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent positions.

• Build and maintain a strong network of active and passive candidates across the Civil Construction market.

• Drive strong personal billing performance while contributing to overall team revenue goals.

As a Coach and Leader, You Will:

• Lead by example and role-model business development, recruitment best practices, and operational excellence.

• Coach and support junior consultants through call coaching, joint client meetings, desk reviews, and one-on-one development sessions.

• Translate regional goals into clear activity targets and growth plans for yourself and the consultants you support.

• Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared success.

• Share market intelligence and industry trends to strengthen team performance and client partnerships.

What You Will Have

• 4+ years of direct sales, business development, or agency recruitment experience, preferably within construction, civil construction, engineering, infrastructure, or a related technical market.

• Proven success generating new business, developing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.

• Experience managing a full-desk or 360 recruitment function.

• Informal coaching, mentoring, onboarding, or team leadership experience preferred.

• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

• A competitive, driven, and goal-oriented mindset combined with a collaborative leadership approach.

• Base compensation of $72,000 + uncapped commission plan.
