Accessory/Hard Goods Designer- E-Commerce

Our client a very successful Accessory company based in Cranford NJ is looking for an Accessory Designer to join their team.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Accessory Designer to join our growing E-Commerce team. This role will focus on developing innovative, trend-driven consumer products for our online business, including products created in partnership with major licensed brands and entertainment properties.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of product design experience, preferably within consumer products, accessories, novelty, stationery, headwear, or a similar category. Experience designing licensed products for brands and entertainment properties such as Nintendo, Warner Bros., Paramount, or similar licensors.

Responsibilities

· Design and develop new product concepts for our e-commerce business

· Create original, trend-driven product ideas based on consumer insights, licensed properties, and online opportunities

· Translate licensed characters, brands, and artwork into creative and commercially viable products

· Create product CADs, mockups, artwork, and presentations to clearly communicate design concepts

· Develop products with the online consumer in mind, including products that are visually impactful and differentiated in the marketplace

· Work within licensor brand guidelines while finding creative ways to make products feel fresh and unique

· Incorporate feedback from licensors and internal teams into product designs

· Manage multiple projects and licensed properties simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

· 2–5 years of professional product design experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred

· Previous experience designing licensed consumer products strongly preferred

· Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

· Strong ability to create CADs, product mockups, presentations, and production-ready artwork

· Excellent understanding of color, graphics, materials, and consumer product design

· Strong eye for trends and an understanding of what makes a product commercially appealing

· Ability to interpret and creatively work within brand and licensing guidelines
