About the Company
The position of Supervisor requires the employee be responsible for the cleanliness and the crews assigned buildings. The Supervisor is knowledgeable in all aspects of janitorial operations. She/he interfaces with the Building Management to obtain work orders, complete inspections, handle complaints. The employee keeps accurate and updated records of employee’s sign in-out sheet and inventory. She/he makes sure the crew has the adequate equipment, supplies, and that they wear their I.D. badges, uniforms and masks. The Supervisor is responsible for making sure the building is cleane, secured and serviced correctly at the end of every shift. He/she conducts quality control inspections on a daily basis.
About the Role
Essential Work Functions:
- Makes sure the buildings are cleaned and serviced correctly.
- Keeps accurate written records per company policy.
- Trains and counsels employees in all aspects of janitorial duties and safety.
- Communicates effectively with building management and work crews.
- Conducts inventory control.
- Conducts quality control inspections.
- Attend and contributes to monthly safety meetings.
- Able to execute services based on SOW (Statement of Work).
- On-call 24/7.
Responsibilities
The job duties/tasks include the following: The Supervisor is responsible for the nightly cleanliness of assigned buildings. The employee is responsible for a group of employees. He/she interfaces with the Building Manager to obtain any work orders. The Supervisor’s responsibilities include:
- Training of all new employees.
- On-going training based on company policies/procedures.
- Start-up of newly acquired business.
- Understand and create work schedules.
- Schedules detail work for janitors.
- Responsible for all the keys. Distributes them to the janitors and collects them and returns them.
- Keeps records of all employees’ time cards.
- Does walk through inspections throughout building and turns off lights.
- Makes sure employees adhere to company safety rules and rules of building.
- Gives verbal and written warnings to employees.
- Keeps inventory control of chemicals and supplies.
- Orders supplies and reports broken equipment to the Janitorial Manager.
- Makes sure all workers have I.D. badges and uniforms.
