Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure program success and satisfaction.
- Develop strategic annual plans, achieving both short- and long-term program goals.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial management for fitness programs and operations.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise full- and part-time staff, while fostering team growth and managing performance.
- Lead and oversee personal training and group exercise programs, ensuring high-quality service and client engagement.
- Mentor and guide college interns, providing professional development opportunities.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate health promotion initiatives, incentive programs, and specialty offerings.
- Conduct fitness assessments, develop exercise prescriptions, and provide first workouts for diverse populations, including high-risk participants.
- Supervise and monitor the exercise floor to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
- Manage administrative processes, including membership enrollments, terminations, and member inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the fitness center’s operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience overseeing a large staff, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field (e.g., Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.).
- Current, nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA, or equivalent).
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $20 - $30/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
