Assistant Project Manager – Heavy Civil
We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager with a few years of construction experience who is ready to take the next step toward becoming a Project Manager. This is a hands-on role with a growing, privately held heavy civil contractor in the Bay Area.
What You’ll Do
- Support PMs from project startup through closeout
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and procurement
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and owners
- Review plans, specifications, and project scopes
- Spend time in the field supporting project execution
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of construction experience
- Heavy civil, paving, utilities, grading, sitework, or related experience preferred
- Project Engineer or Assistant PM experience
- Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree preferred
- Strong communicator who wants to grow into a Project Manager role
