Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid)

Overview:

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1 to 3 years of Civil Litigation experience to join their team. This position is ideal for an attorney looking for meaningful case responsibility, direct client contact, hands-on courtroom experience, and mentorship from seasoned litigators. Their practice covers employment, real estate, business, personal injury, and employment litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000-$130,000
  • Bonus: Performance-based bonus twice per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses.
  • Prepare for and appear at hearings, case management conferences, and court proceedings.
  • Assist with and attend mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Manage litigation deadlines and maintain highly organized case files.


Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar (required).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Excellent organizational and case-management abilities.
  • Professional judgment and confidence to communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, curious and conscientious.
