Position Overview
Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking an experienced HR technology leader to join their team in New York, NY. As the Associate Director, this individual will drive HR systems strategy, leading the full lifecycle of system implementations while managing the firm's existing HR technology portfolio. They will play a central role in an upcoming Workday HCM implementation, overseeing a broad suite of HR systems and evaluating emerging technologies including AI and automation. In addition, this individual will strengthen reporting and analytics and serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the upcoming HRIS implementation end to end, from vendor evaluation and configuration through testing, change management, and go-live.
- Oversee the firm's full suite of HR systems, including applicant tracking, performance management, time and attendance, and global cloud HRIS.
- Evaluate and pilot AI, automation, and emerging technologies for HR applications, with appropriate attention to data privacy, security, and responsible use.
- Partner closely with the Director of Compensation to advance reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the HR function.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards that ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all HR systems.
- Drive adoption and smooth transitions for end users through effective change management.
- Build strong relationships across IT, Finance, Benefits, and other stakeholders to align HR technology with broader firm objectives.
Qualifications
- 7-15 years of experience implementing and managing HRIS platforms.
- Experience leading at least one major Workday implementation, with Workday HCM experience required.
- Background in a fast-paced environment at a large organization of 1,000+ employees.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Greenhouse (ATS) and Taleo is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
