Associate Director, Life Sciences Operations & AI Product Strategy


The Associate Director is a senior domain consultant responsible for identifying, shaping, and

advancing AI-enabled product and solution opportunities across the biopharma and medical device value chain. The role combines deep expertise in laboratory informatics, manufacturing operations, and supply chain management with business consulting and technology strategy to drive innovation, operational transformation, and new product development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in laboratory information systems (LIMS, ELN, LES), manufacturing operations, quality systems, supply chain, and digital operations.
  • Identify and prioritize AI, analytics, and digital product opportunities that address business and operational challenges across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Partner with clients, product teams, data scientists, and engineers to define product visions, use cases, business value, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Translate business processes and domain requirements into scalable AI-enabled solutions, data products, and platform capabilities.
  • Lead workshops, assessments, and strategic engagements focused on automation, predictive intelligence, decision support, and workflow optimization.
  • Develop business cases, value realization models, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategies for AI-powered solutions.
  • Support solution development, sales pursuits, and client engagements by providing domain expertise and industry insights.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences, medical devices, consulting, or digital transformation roles.
  • Deep knowledge of laboratory informatics, manufacturing operations, quality processes, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with platforms such as LIMS, ELN, MES, ERP, QMS, or supply chain planning solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, business discovery, and complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of AI, advanced analytics, data platforms, and enterprise digital transformation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of GxP, validation, regulatory compliance, and regulated operating environments.
  • Experience with cloud, data, and AI technologies from platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Background in management consulting, product strategy, or innovation leadership.
