A financial services firm in Manhattan is seeking a Benefits Administrator. Must have strong recent experience with executing and administering benefits across all areas including medical, dental, vision, 401K, ADA and leaves.
Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote
Hours: 8:30am-5pm
Salary: $100-120K base
Responsibilities:
- Oversee benefits administration and strategic support across US and international employee populations.
- Manage health, welfare, and retirement plans, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Administer wellness programs, reconcile funding and contributions, and address discrepancies with payroll and vendors.
- Support open enrollment processes, including planning, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
- Maintain benefits data integrity in HRIS systems and produce analytics for leadership review.
- Collaborate with vendors on escalations, billing reconciliation, and plan performance improvements.
- Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans, serving as the primary contact for employees and vendors.
- Lead benefits operations for onboarding, life events, leaves, and offboarding processes.
- Manage wellness and voluntary benefit programs, ensuring accurate payroll reconciliation.
- Reconcile benefit elections against payroll deductions and vendor data, resolving discrepancies.
- Validate vendor invoices against enrollment data and contracted rates, addressing billing issues.
- Maintain audit trails for election changes and compliance reviews.
- Produce detailed benefits cost reports for leadership analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support filings and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required.
- 4–6 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably in financial services or regulated environments.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems like UKG and benefits carrier management.
- Knowledge of US benefits compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
- Financial acumen for reconciling data sets and resolving discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with employees and leadership.
- Self-starter capable of thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience in open enrollment planning and execution.
