We're hiring a Bilingual Elementary School Teacher (Spanish) for a 44-week school-year contract supporting students in a collaborative K-8 Charter School environment. This role offers 35 guaranteed hours per week and the opportunity to work alongside an ESL-certified co-teacher and a teacher aide.

Position Details

• Pay: $1,800 per week
• Contract Length: 44 weeks
• Start Date: August 17, 2026 (or ASAP)
• End Date: June 17, 2027
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 8:30 AM-3:10 PM
• Location: Plainfield, New Jersey
• Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours/week
• Student Population: K-8

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging bilingual instruction in Spanish and English.
• Teach General Education curriculum to elementary students.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with the co-teacher, teacher aide, and school staff.
• Support student engagement while following school policies and curriculum requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with K-8 students.
• Valid DOE Instructional Teaching Certificate.
• Valid DOE Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish).
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative instructional team.

Important Certification Requirement

Candidates must hold the required DOE Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish).

• ESL-only endorsements are not accepted.
• Spanish language proficiency alone does not meet the certification requirement.

Classroom Environment

You'll join a supportive classroom with an ESL-certified co-teacher and a teacher aide, allowing for collaborative instruction and student-centered learning.

Interview Process

• On-site interviews between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
• Includes a Spanish demonstration lesson
