Full job description

Dusty Robotics is an autonomous robotics company with a successfully launched product in the construction market. Its flagship product the FieldPrinter™ is an industry transformative product that automates the layout process for construction projects, orchestrating labor and standardizing field execution. The 65+ person team supports a fleet of robots that is deployed on construction sites across North America to increase the quality and predictability of building projects. Our customers include some of the largest names in the construction industry, including DPR, JE Dunn, and Skanska.

Dusty Robotics has built a product our customers love. Our next challenge is to make the business as strong and scalable as the product itself. We are looking for a seasoned, visionary commercial leader to join as Chief Revenue Officer — someone who can define the next generation of Dusty’s go-to-market strategy, identify and unlock new avenues for growth, and build the organization and operating discipline required to execute that strategy at scale.

The CRO will be the architect and leader of Dusty’s commercial acceleration, combining bold strategic thinking and exceptional enterprise sales leadership with rigorous execution. This leader will determine where and how Dusty should grow — across customers, segments, markets, partnerships, offerings, and business models — while building a world-class revenue organization capable of turning that strategy into sustained, predictable growth.

The mandate is both strategic and operational: envision the next phase of Dusty’s commercial growth, translate that vision into a differentiated GTM strategy, and build the sales, marketing, customer success, partnerships, and revenue operations capabilities required to deliver it.

Responsibilities

This role requires a visionary commercial leader who can uncover new opportunities, translate them into compelling go-to-market strategies, and adjust the organization and operating system as required to execute at scale.

  • Own and continually evolve Dusty’s overall go-to-market strategy, identifying the customers, segments, markets, use cases, partnerships, offerings, and commercial models that can unlock the company’s next phase of growth.
  • Set an ambitious commercial vision and growth strategy for the company, challenging existing assumptions and identifying new ways for Dusty to expand its market opportunity and become increasingly strategic to the construction industry.
  • Provide exceptional enterprise sales leadership, personally shaping the approach to Dusty’s most strategic customers and opportunities while transforming the sales organization from one focused on high-velocity project-based sales into one capable of winning and expanding complex, high value enterprise relationships.
  • Develop and confirm segmentation, pricing, and account strategy that maximizes both new-logo growth and the significant whitespace within Dusty’s existing customer base.
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships, channels, business models, and relationships with major customers and industry participants
  • Lead Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around a unified GTM strategy, creating tight alignment between market positioning, demand creation, enterprise selling, customer adoption, and expansion.
  • Build the operating discipline and infrastructure required to scale the strategy, including forecasting, RevOps, pipeline management, performance metrics, planning, and accountability.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO on company strategy, market opportunity, financial planning, organizational design, and long-term growth.
  • Partner directly with the CEO on transformational business development opportunities, including strategic partnerships and seven-figure enterprise agreements with major customers and conglomerates.

Requirements

  • Significant revenue leadership experience at scale, with a track record of creating and executing GTM strategies that produced exceptional growth in project-based industries.
  • A visionary enterprise sales leader with demonstrated ability to identify major new growth opportunities, develop differentiated commercial strategies, and mobilize organizations to capture them.
  • Proven ability to personally engage C-suite customers, shape complex strategic opportunities, and lead teams to win large, seven-figure enterprise relationships.
  • Demonstrated success designing or transforming GTM models — including segmentation, positioning, pricing and packaging, sales motions, customer expansion strategies, channels, and strategic partnerships — rather than simply operating an established sales model.
  • A seasoned operator who has scaled a technology and/or hardware company through an inflection point and understands how to translate an ambitious commercial strategy into organizational execution.
  • Track record of unifying Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success behind a common growth strategy while establishing the forecasting, RevOps, metrics, and accountability required for predictable execution.
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical capabilities combined with strong commercial instincts — someone equally comfortable envisioning where the market can go, closing a transformational customer, and building the operating system required to scale.
  • Experience and understanding of the construction industry is highly valued.
