Role Description The Class A Linehaul Driver role is a full-time, on-site position based in South San Francisco, CA. The driver will operate Class A trucks on scheduled linehaul routes, ensuring timely and safe transport of freight between terminals and customer locations along designated corridors. Daily tasks include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, secure and compliant loading and unloading, adherence to DOT regulations, and accurate completion of logs and delivery documentation. The driver will communicate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs, resolve basic delivery issues, and support efficient freight flow. The role requires consistent attention to safety, vehicle care, and professional representation of ACT 2 Services, Inc. on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Truck Driving skills with at least 2 years' experience operating commercial trucks in linehaul or regional routes.
- Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations. HAZMAT Endorsement preferable.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle interactions professionally and support positive client experiences.
- Candidates should possess the ability to safely inspect, operate, and maintain Truck equipment, including performing basic troubleshooting and reporting issues promptly.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include HAZMAT endorsement, experience with LTL/FTL freight, familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), and basic freight handling skills.
- Ability to lift and move freight as required, follow safety protocols consistently, and work flexible hours or shifts as business needs require.
