We are hiring an experienced Coiler Setup Technician to set up and run CNC and mechanical coiling machines producing precision compression springs, including the micro and fine-wire work Tollman is known for.


What you will do:


  • Set up and operate CNC/mechanical coilers (e.g., Torin, MEC and S&H).
  • Adjust tooling, guides, pitch tools, arbors, and feed systems to meet specifications.
  • Produce first‑piece samples and make fine‑tuning adjustments.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, load testers, and comparators.
  • Troubleshoot coil inconsistencies, wire feed issues, and tooling wear.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.


What you bring:


  • Minimum 3+ years of experience setting up and operating spring coiling machines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and wire-forming knowledge
  • Blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
  • Experience with fine wire or micro springs is a plus
  • Torin, MEC, or S&H experience is a plus; we will cross-train the right person
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
