Project Manager
Location: Rockland County, NY – On-Site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of commercial projects from hand-off through successful completion.
This individual will serve as the central point of accountability for assigned projects, coordinating customers, contractors, vendors, internal teams, schedules, materials, and project requirements.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, communicates proactively, anticipates challenges, and takes ownership of getting projects across the finish line.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial projects from hand-off through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and next steps
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate project requirements across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, and other internal teams
- Ensure project specifications, drawings, documentation, materials, and customer requirements are accurate and complete
- Track project deadlines, open issues, dependencies, risks, and overall progress
- Proactively identify potential delays, scope changes, material constraints, and execution challenges
- Coordinate material availability, production timing, shipping requirements, and project logistics
- Manage project changes and communicate impacts to scope, schedule, cost, and expectations
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are documented and completed
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and reporting
- Provide regular project updates to leadership, including progress, risks, delays, and recommended solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and overall execution
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 4–7 years of project management experience
- Experience within construction, building products, manufacturing, architectural products, or a related industry preferred
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management experience
- Experience coordinating across multiple internal and external teams
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to identify risks and resolve issues proactively
- Comfortable driving accountability and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Proficiency with project management systems, CRM/ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business technologies
- Results-driven mindset with a strong sense of urgency and ownership
