Shape the Future of a High-Growth, Acquisition-Driven Organization
I am partnering confidentially with a private equity-backed manufacturing organization experiencing significant growth through strategic acquisitions and continued expansion. The company has more than doubled in size and is entering an exciting phase focused on scalability, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and hands-on Controller who enjoys building, transforming, and strengthening finance organizations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will play a critical role in developing scalable accounting processes, integrating acquisitions, enhancing reporting capabilities, and serving as a trusted business partner to executive leadership.
For a finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys creating structure from complexity, and wants meaningful executive visibility, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Partner directly with a highly collaborative CFO and executive leadership team.
- Take ownership of a growing finance organization during a transformational stage.
- Lead accounting integration efforts as the company continues its acquisition strategy.
- Build scalable processes, systems, and controls to support future growth.
- Drive ERP optimization, automation, and operational improvements.
- Influence strategic decisions as a key finance leader across the organization.
- Join a culture where finance is viewed as a true business partner.
- Competitive compensation package: $180,000–$210,000 base salary plus bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations across multiple business units, entities, and locations.
- Oversee consolidated month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Manage consolidated financial reporting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategy, accounting policies, and business initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting leaders and finance teams.
- Drive acquisition integration efforts, including systems alignment, reporting processes, internal controls, and accounting practices.
- Establish and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
- Oversee external audit relationships and ensure audit readiness.
- Optimize ERP systems, improve automation, and implement process efficiencies.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
- Proven Controller experience within a multi-entity, multi-location, or complex organization.
- Strong technical accounting background with expertise in consolidations, reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing accounting teams.
- Background in private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisition-driven environments preferred.
- Experience with M&A integration, including financial due diligence and post-close integration, highly desirable.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is a transformational finance leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a builder’s mindset. You are someone who enjoys creating scalable solutions, navigating change, and partnering with leadership to support growth.
This role is ideal for a Controller who wants more than operational ownership — someone who wants to help shape the future of an organization, build a world-class finance function, and play a key role in the company’s continued success.
