Corporate Controller (VP Level) | Privately Owned Manufacturing Company | Long Island, NY
One of my clients has just opened a newly created Corporate Controller position This privately-held, family-owned leader in the manufacturing space is growing fast, and this role reflects that growth directly.
The business:
A global manufacturer of high-performance electronic components, serving over 20,000 customers worldwide across communications, defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial markets. Privately owned, financially strong ($400M of annual revenue), and still expanding, with manufacturing operations spanning multiple countries across North America, the Middle East, and Asia.
The culture is entrepreneurial, hands-on, and genuinely collaborative, the kind of place where people stay for a decade or more because the work matters and the leadership is accessible.
The opportunity:
This isn't a maintenance role. You'll lead global accounting operations and financial reporting for a 2,000+ employee, multi-entity international group, reporting directly to the Group CFO. Core responsibilities include:
- Owning the monthly and quarterly close across the global organization
- Directing statutory reporting and tax filings
- Managing the external audit relationship
- Overseeing transfer pricing compliance
- Leading a major ERP transformation as the company migrates its global systems (SAP)
- Partnering with plant leadership on cost accounting and capital investment
- Supporting financial planning alongside corporate FP&A
- Gaining exposure to the company's M&A activity and technology/AI roadmap
You'll manage a team of roughly 15, including an Assistant Controller as a direct report, and work closely with Finance Directors across the group's international footprint. This is a role with genuine ownership, a seat close to the CFO, and the chance to help shape the finance function as the business continues to scale.
What we're looking for:
- 15-20+ years of progressive financial experience, including at least 10 years in senior finance leadership
- Manufacturing accounting experience is essential, with strong command of cost accounting, inventory, and financial controls in a production environment
- Track record leading a controllership function across multiple entities and countries
- CPA strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Hands-on ERP implementation experience, SAP strongly preferred
- Comfortable presenting to senior executives and the Board

Compensation : $250K - $300K in base salary + a competitive bonus
