Corporate Partner (9+ yrs) – No Business Required

About the Position:

Our client, a premier Chicago law firm, is actively seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join its corporate practice group as a partner. The firm handles a broad range of work, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, and general corporate counseling for middle-market companies in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities:

· Advise middle-market businesses, private equity sponsors, family-owned companies, and individual entrepreneurs on a broad mix of transactional and corporate governance work

· Lead M&A engagements spanning industries such as food & beverage, industrial manufacturing, professional services, and cannabis

· Manage complex deal work including acquisitions, divestitures, ESOP transactions, and joint ventures

· Handle corporate restructurings, sophisticated commercial agreements, private placements, and general corporate counseling

Required Qualifications:

· 9+ years leading complex M&A work, spanning both private company deals and private equity transactions

· Substantial background counseling middle-market clients on core corporate matters, including governance, commercial agreements, and LLC/shareholder arrangements

· A self-starter mentality and entrepreneurial drive

· Experience with private securities offerings, joint ventures, fund formation, and alternative practice structures is desirable

Location:

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $360,000 - $425,000.
