Customer Success Manager
π San Francisco, CA | Hybrid, 3β4 days per week in office
π° $140Kβ$160K base + competitive equity
πΌ The Role
We're working with a fast-growing seed-stage AI startup transforming how accounting firms manage bookkeeping and tax workflows. Following rapid customer growth, they're looking for a hands-on Customer Success Manager to own customer relationships and help build the operational foundations needed to scale.
You'll work closely with accounting firms from the point they become customers, understanding how they work, helping them adopt the product and ensuring they get real value from it day to day. You'll onboard and train users, solve customer problems and act as a key link between customers, product and engineering.
This is a broad, high-ownership role in an early-stage company rather than a traditional account management position. You'll be expected to spot problems, improve processes and create structure where it doesn't yet exist. Strong backgrounds could come from Customer Success, customer operations, accounting or consulting, particularly within an early-stage startup.
π Key Responsibilities
- Own customer relationships from initial onboarding through successful adoption
- Understand customer workflows, challenges and operational needs
- Onboard and train customers on new software and workflows
- Resolve customer questions and problems, coordinating internally where needed
- Build and improve scalable customer processes, documentation and playbooks
- Identify opportunities to make the customer journey more efficient and effective
- Gather customer feedback and work closely with product and engineering
- Help shape the Customer Success and operations function as the company scales
π What We're Looking For
- Strong customer-facing experience within Customer Success, operations, accounting or consulting
- Experience owning customer relationships, projects or onboarding
- Experience working in a strong seed or Series A startup environment
- Comfortable building processes and solving operational problems from scratch
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Experience with accounting, bookkeeping, tax or financial workflows is a strong plus
π° Package
- $140Kβ$160K base salary
- Competitive equity
- Hybrid working, 3β4 days per week in the San Francisco office
