JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a polished and sales-focused Design Studio Supervisor to support a premier luxury design studio for a leading manufacturer of lighting controls, automated shading systems, and smart building technology.
This individual will act as the on-site leader of the studio and oversee the day-to-day client experience, working closely with the existing Showroom Assistant to ensure the space is consistently organized, professional, and presentation-ready.
The Design Studio Supervisor will deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to clients, designers, architects, sales partners, and other industry professionals. They will be responsible for tailoring the studio experience to different audiences, communicating the value of the company’s solutions, supporting sales conversations, and creating a premium experience that strengthens customer relationships. The role will also partner closely with internal sales teams, representatives, and dealers to increase studio engagement and support business-development opportunities.
Additionally, this person will coordinate and execute regular client and industry events, with an expectation of supporting at least one event per week. They will help manage studio scheduling, facility needs, event logistics, customer follow-up, and Salesforce activity while ensuring every interaction reflects the company’s high standards. This is a highly visible role best suited for someone with a senior sales, luxury retail, showroom, hospitality, or client-experience background who is confident presenting to groups and can independently take ownership of the studio.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of experience in senior sales, luxury retail, showroom operations, hospitality, customer experience, or another highly client-facing environment
• Strong presentation and public-speaking skills, with experience delivering engaging presentations, product demonstrations, or sales pitches
• Polished and professional communication style with the ability to interact confidently with clients, executives, designers, architects, and sales professionals
• Proven ability to build client relationships, identify customer needs, and tailor presentations or recommendations to different audiences
• Experience supporting or leading customer events, presentations, networking functions, or other high-visibility engagements
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments, events, client requests, and operational priorities
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of a client-facing environment, and resolve unexpected issues without requiring constant direction
• Comfortable providing day-to-day direction and support to a Showroom Assistant while remaining hands-on with presentations, sales activity, and studio operations
Flexible to support occasional events or client engagements outside standard business hours
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience within luxury residential products, lighting, architectural design, interior design, smart-home technology, or building automation
• Background working with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, dealers, or other specification-focused customers
• Experience working in a luxury showroom, design studio, experience centre, or premium retail environment
• Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform
• Previous supervisory, team-lead, mentoring, or coaching experience
Existing relationships within the local architecture, design, luxury retail, real estate, or construction community
