Title: Design- Young Contemporary, Tween and Girls
Location: New York, NY
Salary- $95,000+
Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing young contemporary/ tween knitwear brand is currently looking for a Designer to join the team and oversee all facets of the design process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full design process ensuring quality and fit are meeting the retailers’ requirements
- Shape seasonal design strategies and identify emerging trends
- Conceptualized and present innovative to leadership.
- Create prints, graphics and CAD’S
- Conduct research, identifying trends, maintaining brand strategy, and executing the design process and merchandising objectives.
- Communicate with the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and approval of designs.
- Mentor and guide the design team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment with product development, and technical design teams.
- Offer support while reviewing and approve samples, fabrics, and color standards.
- Additionally, knowledge of activewear/knitwear fabrics is required.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design,
- Proficient in Photoshop, and Illustrator
- 3-4 year minimum experience
