About the Role:


Are you ready to elevate your career? If so, we are looking for a Director, Field Services, for our company located on Long Island, NY. In this role, you will directly manage all of the field service operations personnel and will work in close collaboration with the Installation and Warehouse team to delivery results. You will have full department P&L responsibility and will direct the staff in the areas of service. As the senior leader, you will serve as the single point of contact and accountability for service issue escalation and resolution. Estimated Salary: $120,000 to $180,000 per year based on qualifications and experience.


Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.


What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the completion of service tickets with a focus to ensure they meet with targets set by the business and expectations of our customers.
  • Develop and implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve service performance.
  • Oversee Service resource and workforce issues for the organization.
  • Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary.
  • Establish regular team and individual meetings with direct reports to facilitate resolution of issues/problems or to provide guidance related to key successes.
  • Establish key touch points with other teams such as Customer Service, Sales, Parts and Installation.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations and performance management.
  • Manage the morale in the department by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Monitor financial performance to ensure the department is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment.
  • Create and analyze Excel reports to improve workflow and business processes, making recommendations to senior leadership
  • Reinforce a culture of safety and ensure all teams are working in a manner that is compliant with our safety standards
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Hercules policies and applicable laws



What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or 5‐10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Management courses and seminars a plus
  • Experience managing a multi-million-dollar operation in a service-based business preferred
  • Management experience leading a workforce in the field is preferred
  • Experience working with P&Ls and financial reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must also possess a keen technological aptitude to quickly gain familiarity with custom software applications specific to Hercules
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present and communicate information in group meetings, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to set high standards, hold themselves and others accountable with a track record of building a winning culture
  • Ability to accept and give constructive feedback and feel comfortable having difficult conversations when needed
