Director of Accounting, Consolidations

Excellent Opportunity to be the Head of Consolidations with a global public consumer goods company based in New York City. This is a hybrid work situation- onsite required Tuesday and Thursdays. You will be hands on as well as manage a team of 4-5 made up of Managers and Senior Accountants.

• Manage monthly worldwide financial consolidation process and review consolidated financial statements, including analysis of results and resolutions of differences and/or executive inquiries. Work closely with local and divisional finance personnel to implement more efficient and effective processes.
• Manage quarterly analytical review of consolidated results, including streamlining data collection. Work closely with local finance personnel and external auditors on key drivers of financial fluctuations.
• Supervise Audit Committee communications and support quarter focusing on explanation of business results.
• Document and comply with SOX controls supporting quarterly public filings.
• Comply with governmental reporting requirements.
• Manage ad-hoc requests made by senior management timely.
• Participate in special projects sponsored by department.
• Self and staff development, through internal/external training, performance evaluations, etc.

Requirements:

CPA Required

10+ years experience, preferably a mix of Public Accounting and Global Organization
