Director of Practice Analytics | NYC
A leading community health organization seeking a Director of Practice Analytics to help clinical and operational leaders make smarter, data-driven decisions across its health centers.
This is NOT a traditional reporting role. The ideal candidate combines strong ambulatory practice operations/practice management experience with hands-on analytical expertise and knows how to turn data into meaningful operational improvements.
What You'll Do
• Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas that aren't working
• Partner with medical and administrative leadership to improve access, scheduling, patient flow, provider productivity, staffing, and practice efficiency
• Develop and oversee dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and performance reporting
• Analyze provider productivity, panel management, no-shows, care gaps, payer mix, coding, denials, and other key metrics
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical and executive leadership
• Help leaders understand what is happening, why it's happening, and what they should do next
• Support quality, population health, value-based care, and regulatory reporting
• Partner with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Quality, IT, and clinical leadership on performance improvement initiatives
• Lead and develop analytics/program teams while serving as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership

✔️ Meaningful experience supporting or managing multisite ambulatory practices
✔️ Strong understanding of the operational realities behind healthcare metrics
✔️ EPIC experience and knowledge of practice management/EHR data
✔️ Advanced Excel skills
✔️ Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another analytics/visualization platform
✔️ Ability to work with SQL or effectively partner with technical teams
✔️ Strong understanding of clinical, operational, and financial healthcare data
✔️ Excellent communication skills — able to explain analytics to both technical and non-technical audiences
✔️ At least 5 years of people, program, or cross-functional leadership experience
