Director of Safety

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Safety to lead and continuously improve their corporate safety program across federal, industrial, renewable energy, structural steel, and commercial construction projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide safety strategy and culture initiatives
• Oversee safety programs across multiple active construction projects
• Conduct audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments
• Develop safety policies, training programs, JHAs, AHAs, and Site-Specific Safety Plans
• Manage subcontractor safety compliance and accountability
• Partner with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate risk

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction safety experience
• 5+ years in a Safety Manager or Director-level role
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
• Experience supporting structural steel, electrical, heavy civil, industrial, and/or renewable energy projects
• Ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal construction experience
• EM385-1-1 knowledge
• Renewable energy or utility-scale project experience
• CSP, CHST, or similar certifications

Required Certifications

• OSHA 500 (or OSHA 510 with ability to obtain OSHA 500)
• NFPA 70E
• CPR/First Aid/AED

Location & Schedule

• Southern California preferred
• Remote with significant travel
• Full-Time
