Role Description The Logistics Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Queens, NY, responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics and operations for school meal programs. This role manages routing and scheduling, coordinates deliveries, and ensures accurate and timely distribution of food and supplies to partner schools. The manager monitors inventory levels, works with vendors and internal teams to maintain a reliable supply chain, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include tracking key performance indicators, analyzing operational data, resolving service issues, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role collaborates closely with kitchen, operations, and customer service teams to support consistent, high-quality meal service across school sites.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including planning, coordination, and process optimization.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and experience working with Key Performance Indicators to evaluate and improve operational performance.
- Candidates should possess a customer-centric mindset and proven Customer Service skills when working with school partners and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including vendor coordination, inventory management, and distribution logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in food service, school nutrition, or multi-site operations is preferred.
- Proficiency with logistics or inventory software and strong Excel or data management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Queens, NY, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 annual salary
