Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist (Entry Level)

Pay: $21-22/hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week; 100% onsite

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an entry-level HR professional to join their team and support employee relations and HR compliance initiatives.
Job Description:
The Employee Relations Specialist will support employees and managers with workplace concerns, policy questions, performance matters, and general HR compliance. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in employee relations and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address employee complaints, attendance issues, and performance concerns.
- Support managers with corrective action and disciplinary matters.
- Assist with workplace investigations and related documentation.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and employment regulations.
- Review employee concerns and collaborate with the HR team on next steps.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Assist with HR audits, compliance projects, SOPs, and policy updates.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of HR or employee relations experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and HR practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment and remain objective when handling sensitive matters.
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
Additional Details:
- This is a fully onsite position in Niles, IL.
