We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join our Santa Barbara team. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal judgment, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach to matters involving divorce, custody, support, and other family law issues.


This is an opportunity to work closely with clients during some of the most consequential periods of their lives while handling sophisticated legal matters in a collaborative professional environment.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate zealously for clients' interests.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and other legal professionals to manage cases efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and billing records.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience practicing family law; litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and empathy when working with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.

What We Offer

  • The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 and $300,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
