Job Title: Field Account Manager – City Launch & Merchant Success

Location: Multiple U.S. Markets (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Positions: 10

Travel: Local travel required (approximately 100 miles around assigned market)

Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic Field Sales Rep / Merchant Success professional to drive merchant adoption, onboarding, training, and long-term engagement for an early-stage local commerce program.

This is a field-based role where you will spend most of your time meeting local business owners face-to-face. You will build merchant relationships, lead onboarding and training sessions, support launches, host community events, and gather feedback to help improve and scale the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with local merchants and business owners.
  • Visit restaurants and local businesses to support merchant launches and adoption.
  • Own the field launch lifecycle, from pre-launch readiness through activation and post-launch follow-up.
  • Conduct merchant onboarding, training, and live transaction walkthroughs.
  • Host workshops, community events, and merchant office hours.
  • Monitor merchant engagement, adoption, and retention.
  • Identify operational challenges and provide solutions in the field.
  • Gather merchant feedback and communicate insights to Product, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Develop training materials, playbooks, and community engagement strategies.
  • Partner with Account Managers and internal teams to deliver an exceptional merchant experience.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in merchant success, hospitality, field operations, community management, training, account management, retail, restaurant operations, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and earn trust with business owners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience conducting training, workshops, or customer education.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and take initiative in the field.
  • Comfortable spending the majority of time onsite with merchants and traveling locally.
  • Passion for supporting local businesses and communities.
