Title: Fitness Studio Manager

Location: Monroe, NY

Salary: $70,000 w/ some flex based on experience + discretionary performance based bonus

Benefits: Paid Time Off (Sick, Personal, Vacation, Federal Holidays, Jewish Holidays)

Work Schedule: Sun 12:30pm-2:00pm, Mon 8:30am-5:30pm, Tues 8:30am-5:30pm, Wed 8:30am-9:00pm, Thurs 8:30am-5:30pm, Fri 8:30am-3:00pm

Position Type: Direct-Hire/Permanent


Overview: Rapidly expanding fitness studio seeks qualified Studio Manager for their Monroe, NY location. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for fitness, while also combining a track record of working with customer service, sales, client experience, client retention, etc. Anyone with a background combining fitness, health, or wellness with professional sales/customer service experience (retail or other) is encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the fitness studio, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and high-energy environment.
  • Manage, coach, and motivate fitness instructors, personal trainers, front-desk staff, and other studio employees.
  • Drive membership sales, renewals, upgrades, and client retention through exceptional customer service and proactive outreach.
  • Build strong relationships with members and prospective clients to understand their fitness goals and ensure a positive experience.
  • Handle member concerns, resolve customer service issues, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Oversee class schedules, instructor performance, studio programming, and overall member experience.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, appearance, and safety of the facility and fitness equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable health and operational standards.
  • Track and analyze membership, sales, attendance, retention, and other performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, supplies, and facility-related needs.
  • Create a positive studio culture focused on accountability, teamwork, sales performance, and exceptional member service.
  • Maintain accurate member records, schedules, payments, and administrative documentation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion for the fitness industry
  • Willingness to pursue company paid Pilates certification (if not certified already)
  • Experience in a client-centric customer service or sales-oriented role
  • High energy, upbeat, positive, etc.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a solution/retention oriented mindset to handle member issues and complaints.
  • Local to the Monroe, NY area
