About the Role
- We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join UAP's global Marketing & Communications team based at either our Los Angeles studio.
- This is a hands-on creative role supporting how UAP presents its projects, capabilities, ideas, and people to audiences around the world. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team and colleagues across the business, the Junior Graphic Designer will help translate information and project stories into clear, engaging, and beautifully considered visual communications.
- The role will work across a wide range of outputs—from credentials presentations and new business pitches to project case studies, digital content, publications, and external and internal communications.
- We are looking for someone at the beginning of their design career (fresh graduate or 1 year of experience) who has strong design fundamentals, an eye for detail, and an interest in art, architecture, design, and the process of making. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone curious, collaborative, and eager to develop their skills within a global creative business.
- You must be able to work in a team environment and be independent, motivated, enthusiastic, and creative.
- This is a part-time position, ideally 3 days per week, with the opportunity to extend to 4 days in the future. Salary will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on skills, and the agreed number of working days.
What You'll Be Working On
Presentations, Pitches & New Business
- Support the development of visually compelling presentations, credentials documents, and new business pitches for UAP's global and regional teams.
- Work with Marketing, Business Development and project teams to translate information into clear layouts, diagrams, infographics and visual narratives.
- Adapt presentations for different audiences, including artists, architects, galleries, developers, cultural institutions and public-sector clients.
Project & Brand Storytelling
- Help tell the stories behind UAP's projects from the artist's initial idea through design, engineering, fabrication and installation.
- Develop project case studies, capability documents, and other materials that communicate UAP's expertise through strong combinations of imagery, typography, and information.
- Develop a strong understanding of UAP's brand and ensure its visual identity is applied consistently across communications.
Marketing & Communications: Design materials for a variety of channels, including but not limited to:
- Communication activities and campaigns
- Social media content
- Newsletters
- Publications and brochures
- Internal communications
- Thought leadership and research initiatives
- Support the Marketing & Communications team with day-to-day creative requirements across UAP's global regions and partner businesses
Brand Management & Creative Production
- Apply UAP's visual identity consistently while finding creative ways to keep communications fresh and relevant.
- Maintain organized working files, templates, and design assets so materials can be efficiently shared and adapted by teams globally.
- Support the continued development of templates, guidelines and tools that make it easier for teams across UAP to communicate consistently.
Partner Brand Support: While UAP will be the primary focus of this role, the Junior Graphic Designer will occasionally support other partner businesses within the wider group (Art Makers &Co). This may include adapting presentations, credentials, marketing collateral, digital content, and other communications to meet the needs and visual identities of individual businesses.
