Hardware Technician
Contract: 12 Months, with possibility of extension
Job Description
The Hardware (HW) team is seeking a Hardware Technician to support the debug, validation, and testing of Solid State Drives (SSD) and related hardware. The technician will work closely with the HW design team to support laboratory activities, electrical validation, hardware troubleshooting, and test setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PCB component rework, including removal, replacement, and soldering of electronic components.
- Support electrical hardware debug and validation activities.
- Set up and maintain laboratory environments, test fixtures, and electrical test setups.
- Perform electrical validation tasks, measurements, and data collection according to established procedures.
- Follow detailed test procedures and validation protocols.
- Support day-to-day hardware laboratory management and organization.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure equipment remains in proper calibration status.
- Maintain accurate hardware, component, and equipment inventory.
- Configure and troubleshoot Windows/Linux host systems used for hardware testing.
- Operate and maintain common electrical test and measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and other technical teams to troubleshoot issues and support validation activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, which may include a combination of education, coursework, research, internships, or professional work experience.
- Hands-on experience with PCB rework and component replacement.
- Experience with electrical hardware debugging and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux host systems.
- Experience setting up hardware test environments and laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical test and measurement equipment, including:
- Digital Multimeters (DMM)
- Oscilloscopes
- Logic Analyzers
- Power Supplies
- Other electrical test and measurement equipment
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting hardware design, validation, or engineering laboratories.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic boards and systems.
- Knowledge of SSD, storage, computer hardware, or semiconductor technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with hardware engineers and cross-functional technical teams.
