Health And Safety Manager [MA-14967]

A distribution and logistics organization is looking to add a Health & Safety Manager to its on-site leadership team in the Aurora, Illinois area. This person will be tasked with owning site-level health, safety, and facilities operations within a high-volume fulfillment environment. The role offers full accountability for building a strong safety culture while ensuring the facility, equipment, and infrastructure operate reliably and compliantly. It’s a highly visible, hands-on opportunity with real influence on people, performance, and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Own and lead the site’s health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal standards
• Drive a “safety-first” culture through audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and safety committee leadership
• Manage all aspects of facilities operations, including building maintenance, utilities, fire systems, and critical equipment
• Oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring safe work practices and strong service delivery
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance, minor projects, and annual safety and facilities budgets

The Candidate

• 2+ years of experience in health & safety and/or facilities management within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical workplace safety implementation
• Proven experience managing large facilities (approximately 150,000+ sq. ft.) and multiple vendors or contractors
• Hands-on, solutions-driven leader who is comfortable on the floor and engaging with all levels of the organization
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence site teams and present to senior leadership
