Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Import/Export Specialist to join the team in a full-time, on-site position in Moonachie, NJ. This role will be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, managing documentation, supporting customers, and ensuring compliance with applicable trade and transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export documentation and shipment processes.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from initiation through completion.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of import/export documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and serve as a key point of contact for customers.
• Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs, trade, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments.
• Effectively manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Import/Export experience working for an NVOCC.
• Strong knowledge of import and export operations and documentation.
• Customer service experience within the logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain management is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
