POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Indoor Play Gym Manager to oversee the daily operations of our

indoor play facility at our Jersey City adventure park location. The successful candidate will be responsible for

creating a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children and families while managing staff, maintaining

equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving revenue growth through excellent customer

service and marketing initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Management

● Oversee all day-to-day operations of the indoor play facility, including opening/closing procedures and

staff scheduling

● Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that ensure efficiency and safety

● Monitor facility performance metrics and KPIs; prepare regular reports for senior management

● Manage inventory of equipment, supplies, and maintenance materials

Staff Leadership & Training

● Hire, train, and supervise staff members including supervisors, attendants, and cleaning crew

● Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development

● Ensure all staff comply with safety protocols and customer service standards

● Create positive work culture and manage staff scheduling to maintain adequate coverage

Safety & Compliance

● Maintain strict adherence to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes

● Conduct daily safety inspections of all equipment, facilities, and play structures

● Implement and maintain comprehensive incident reporting and injury prevention protocols

● Stay current on OSHA requirements, CPR/First Aid certifications, and industry best practices

● Prepare and maintain documentation for insurance, licensing, and regulatory compliance

Maintenance & Facility Management

● Oversee regular maintenance and repair of play structures, equipment, and facility infrastructure

● Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs

● Maintain clean and sanitized play areas, restrooms, and common spaces; enforce hygiene standards

● Manage capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades as needed

Revenue & Business Development

● Drive membership sales and manage membership programs and promotions

● Manage birthday parties, private events, and group bookings

● Implement marketing initiatives to increase facility awareness and customer acquisition

● Monitor pricing strategies and develop promotional campaigns to maximize revenue

● Build relationships with corporate and educational institutions for group activities

Customer Service

● Ensure exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally

● Gather customer feedback and implement improvements based on suggestions

● Foster a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere throughout the facility


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● 3+ years of management experience in entertainment, recreation, childcare, or related facility

management

● Strong knowledge of child safety regulations and best practices in indoor play environments

● Proven track record of managing P&L, budgets, and operational metrics

● Excellent leadership and team management skills with ability to inspire and motivate staff

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

● Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

● High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field

preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Experience in adventure parks, theme parks, or similar recreational facilities

● Experience with POS systems and customer management software

● Background in marketing or business development

● Multi-unit management experience

● Knowledge of New Jersey regulations for children's facilities

● Experience with Square POS system

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

● Ability to stand, walk, and navigate the facility for extended periods

● Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations

● Comfortable working in an energetic, sometimes noisy environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

● Competitive salary ($50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience)
