From our U.S. headquarters and technical center in St. Charles, IL, we develop and manufacture innovative solutions for body electronics, passive entry/passive start (PEPS), power closure systems (liftgates, sliding doors, cinching latches), and DC/DC converters for electrified vehicles.


Objective

  • This position acts as the lead engineer and project manager for the manufacturing process design of new product launches. This role utilizes the tools of industrial engineering to design and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing production lines. This position is responsible for managing the project, from initial business award to successful production implementation, while strictly adhering to budget and timeline constraints.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Process Design: Design and develop manufacturing production lines for new products, ensuring equipment requirements are fully aligned with product specifications and capacity requirements.


  • Project Management: Manage the entire project lifecycle, including organizing and leading cross-functional meetings, facilitating technical design reviews, and driving accountability across stakeholders. Ensure all milestones are met, delivering the project on time and within the allocated budget.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze and determine capacity requirements, ensuring alignment with production volume forecasts and efficiency targets.
  • New Business quotation - Understand costs associated with manufacturing equipment and labor needed to quote new business opportunities


Experience 5 + years of experience in industrial engineering or process engineering, with a focus on new product launch (NPL).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, process engineering, or related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and conduct formal design reviews.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of process flow charts, PFMEA and their relationship to DFMEA. Knowledge of machine specification development,
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and cost tracking for capital equipment and process implementation.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical requirements clearly to diverse teams.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment, specifically within automotive electronics (Tier 1 or OEM level) is strongly preferred.
