About the Company
Our client is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to help improve production efficiency, optimize workflows, and support continuous improvement across our manufacturing operation.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role that connects engineering, production, and operations. You'll help identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize labor and workflow, support new product introductions, and solve day-to-day manufacturing challenges.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes, workflows, and labor utilization to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct time studies, work measurement, and labor analysis to improve productivity and establish process standards.
- Support line balancing and production flow optimization initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and sources of waste and help implement practical solutions.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and production issues in partnership with production and engineering teams.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collect, organize, and analyze production data to support operational decision-making.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, standard work, and technical procedures.
- Assist with facility layouts, workstation design, material flow, and ergonomic improvements.
- Support the transition of new products and processes from development into production.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadership to implement process improvements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of improvements and help identify additional opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications
- Technical degree, certification, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Required Skills
- Experience conducting time studies, work measurement, or labor analysis.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process improvement, line balancing, or workflow optimization.
- Knowledge of manufacturing layouts, material flow, ergonomics, and workstation design.
- Experience creating work instructions, standard work, or process documentation.
- Familiarity with production data analysis and performance metrics.
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or transitioning products into production.
Pay range and compensation package
$75-95K plus comprehensive benefits package
